The third edition of the 'Enjoy the World of the Ancient Orient!’ introduces the museum's collection focusing on the themes of 'Life', 'Cuneiform and Egyptian Hieroglyphics', 'Gods' and more.
Children and adults can explore the world of the ancient orient together.
② THE ANCIENT GLASS – Three Paths of Ancient Glass
Glass - an artificial material first produced over 4,000 years ago in ancient West Asia – was originally a symbol of wealth, reserved exclusively for royalty and the aristocracy. It gradually spread via east and west trade networks. Over time, as its use became more widespread, glass found its way into the everyday lives of people and cultures.
This exhibition is organized into three sections -“The Ancient Mediterranean World” “The Ancient Orient World” and “The East Asian World”- and traces the roots and evolution of glass, crystallized through generations of craftspeople’s trial and error.
We invite you to enjoy the timeless brilliance of ancient glass, cherished by people throughout history.
